Manassas Battlefield or something....

As the weather is turning cooler, Annabel and I are more comfortable running around outside. Seeing as we are both uber furry and black, we tend to get really hot when it's warm out, so we aren't actually a whole lot of fun. Now that it's getting fall like, we are out exploring a lot more. Suzi and Auntie Kelly took us out to a HUGE park . They kept talking about it being a historical site or something. All we know, is it was a great day!

It's been over a year since anything was written!

So much has happened.

Let's try to catch you up!

1. There are two of us now! Colt and Annabel! We are inseperable!

Here is us being a little silly at our grandmother's house.

 2. Our mom and dad got married!! We got to spend a week on Cape Cod playing at the beach and then spent 2 more weeks with our Auntie Kelly. She spoils us rotten!

Ok, I guess that doesn't doesn't look like a whole but, it really is a whole lot. Mom and dad have been very busy but they always have time for us. Now that things have calmed down, we are going to try and start writing again. 

We are looking forward to the cooler weather, and going out more often!

Meeting a Small Human

Did you know that not all humans are big? This past weekend I met a small human. Colt had to stay inside because he gets a little bouncy with company. Suzi and Ken's present day for their wedding was today, and then they had a bbq afterwards. I love bbq's because I get to hang out with lots of new friends, I get loved on, and I get food, lots of food. Anyways, usually I only hang out with big humans, but, on this day, I met a little one. He was squishy and fed me grass, which was not so yummy, and he pulled my tail a lot, which hurt but he did let me lick him. It was such a fun time.

Ken & Suzi took us to visit Grandma & Grandpa this weekend. The have a big grass patch in their backyard and it is really fun to run around in. This time, there were a lot of leaves on the ground. While I just thought it was fun to run in them, Colt wanted to help clean them up.  He's so silly.

sorry we've been gone for so long... lots of new stuff is going on in the house. Suz got a new job, we're moving to a townhouse that has a yard, there was christmas, and thanksgiving and lots of traveling.... let's see where to start....

September - I learned how to swim in a pool. My friend Folly-dog came to visit for a little while and we went to the dog park. Suzi visited her friend's apple orchard and then made me the most yummy apple treats!

October - VERY busy for everyone. We visited Harpers Ferry and went hiking. Then we went camping at Sky Meadow, and that was really fun. For halloween, i dressed up like a bee. We went to a dog expo and met a lot of other dogs. I didn't win the costume contest though. Apparently little dogs dressed like bumblebees are way cuter then big ones like me. There's always next year, right? I also spent some time with my friend Roxy-dog while Suz and K went to a few weddings.

November - I got to travel! We went to Massachusetts and met one of my grandmas! There I got to meet my cousins, Sam, Molly, Amelia, and Faith. It was so fun to play with them. Then we went to Alabama for Thanksgiving. We went through what Suz called the Great Smoky Mountains. I got to ride around with my nose out the window, i loved it. Then in Alabama, i met my other grandparents and played in their backyard, which was wicked awesome.

December - Suz had been saying she was excited for this stuff called snow... well, it snowed, and it was awesome! I got lots of presents for Christmas. Then we visited Suz's friends in Maryland and played in the yard.

Suz and K got me a new yummy treat the other day. It's called a busy bone and it was soooooooo gooooood. I gobbled it up in just a few minutes! I think Suz thought it would last longer, but it did keep me fairly busy, and I really did love the taste of it. She said something about it being expensive, but good thing we got to try it for free. I dunno, I wasn't listening too well, just playing with my noms!

I don't feel so hot today. Suz tried to feed me dinner, but I really didn't want it. Then she took me on a walk, and I threw up three times!

Now I'm laying in my crate, cuddling with hippo... Suz told me to drink some water, so I might try that... But oh, i feel so icky.

What do you do when you don't feel well? Do your pets give you anything that helps??

dawg dayz of summer....

I am not sure my pets realize that I want to play outside no matter what the temperature is! They get all wet and weary looking though. Recently, they have been trying to find creative ways to keep me entertained while we stay in the house on those, what my pet's call, the "dawg dayz of summer".

Suz has tried "sit ups", which I do only because in the end I get my treat. She makes me "sit" then "down" then "sit" then "down"... it is quite annoying, but in all seriousness, I get kinda tired from it. It gets a bit old though, I wish they could learn some new tricks...

The other thing I LOVE is getting ice cubes in my bowl! Yum, Yum, Yum!

What do your pets do with you when it is very hot outside?

The Dog Park

A few times a week, my pets, Suz and K bring me to the dog park near our house. It's named Chandon Dog Park. We have been going ever since I was a little pup, all about 13 pounds.

Let me tell you, I really enjoy this park. Out of all the parks we have been to, which is quite a few, this is one of my most favorites. It is really big, and has a lot of space to run. Usually there are some really awesome friends that I can play with, and their owners are pretty cool too. Before I was able to play with the "big dogs", I was still even able to run around because there was a small part just for a little one like me... which was really nice, especially when that big rottweiler tried to eat me that one day... but now, that I am getting big and strong I can take him!

This park is better than most because it has soft grass and dirt for my paws unlike some other parks where they have that hot, rough concrete. How am I supposed to run on that?! I also really love that my friend's owners will play with me too. They also are really good about keeping the mean guys away from us! The park even has a little pool, so on those hot days, Suz or K fills it up with cool water, and we all splash around!

Oh, I can't wait to go again! Writing about it makes me exited! I'm gonna go beg them to take me!

You wanna know about me? Really? Oh, I am so excited!

First things first, you should know that I LOVE meeting new people. I thrive on it really. It is quite hard for me to go for a walk and not stop every few minutes. I am very, very outgoing and always have a grin on my face. My pets, say they are proud that I sit for new friends, although, that is really hard for me to do. I always want to just jump up and give them a big, wet kiss!

I live in Northern Virginia in an apartment with a lot of roommates. I adore some of them, but not so much the others. Suz and K, my pets, are great! We always have a great time together. Jezebel and Isabel on the other paw, aren't exactly my type, if you catch my drift... They are, well, I'll just put it out there, they're cats. Oh! and there's Jack... he's pretty cool, but he doesn't come out much, he's a fish.

Anyways... I have to go take a bath. Suz says after the weekend at the beach, it's a must... I hate it though, but don't tell her that.
